Garden hose with
cold water and adjustable nozzle.
Good quality liquid
car wash soap...(like Eagle One or Meguiar's)
100% Pure
Sheepskin mitt
One cheap wash
mitt for the wheels
One semi stiff
scrub brush... (for tires)
Two wash buckets.
One filled with soapy cold water, the other
with cold water for rinsing your mitt.
Microfiber waffle
weave towel for drying or a white 100%
cotton towel (Cannon or Fieldcrest brands)
Steps:
- Park your car in
the shade. Never wash in direct sunlight.
- Using high
pressure from the garden hose rinse down
the entire car from top to bottom
(knocking off the dirt, mud, etc.) Wash
the wheels and wheel wells last.
- Starting with
the soapy sheepskin wash mitt, wash the
roof, rear window, trunk, rear end, and
drivers side top to bottom last, soap up
as needed. Use only back and forth
horizontal wiping motions (as the wind
flows.) No circular motions.
- Toss your mitt
into the rinse bucket. Grab hose... mellow
out the spray and rinse what you have just
washed.
- Grab sheepskin
mitt from rinse bucket, squeeze out, soap
up and wash the remainder of the car from
the passenger rear quarter panel to the
front grill, do the windshield and hood
last. (Always rinse and soap up your mitt
if begins to look dirty.)
- Rinse entire
car.
- Take your rinsed
sheepskin mitt and hang somewhere to dry.
Grab your other mitt, soap up and wash
your tires, wheel wells and rims. Use the
brush if needed. If you have very
expensive wheels, or ones that may scratch
easy, then do them separately and gently.
- Rinse the
wheels. Rinse your mitt and hang to dry.
Throw out bucket water. Never use on
another car if you are washing more than
one. (Always start fresh.)
- Dry the entire
car with the Microfiber waffle towel,
using a back and forth motion. Wring out
when water logged. No circular motions.
- You are done.
